Swansea City welcome Nottingham Forest to the Liberty Stadium for this weekend’s league encounter. The Swans returned to winning ways right before the international break and this has propelled them to within goal difference of the playoff positions. Forest, however, are lying four points behind Swansea in the bottom half of the table and this has come about with their tendency to play out regular stalemates. Follow all our predictions, free bets, football bets and betting tips below.
Betting Tips for the game
Swansea ended a three-match winless run in the Championship as they secured a 2-1 victory at Millwall earlier this month. Kyle Naughton and Oliver McBurnie netted in the final 15 minutes to attain a fantastic comeback win. Swansea were down to 10 men after just five minutes.
Forest, meanwhile, suffered their first defeat of the league season, as they were downed 2-1 by Brentford on the road. Ollie Watkins scored the match-defining goal for the hosts in the 84th minute.
Swansea’s previous meeting against Forest was in the Championship play-offs in May 2011 where they secured a 3-1 win at the Liberty Stadium. Our betting tips and predictions expect a Swansea win.

Forest are offered odds of 3.20 for a victory but the result appears highly unlikely based on their recent form. Forest have struggled to pick up wins with four draws already this season and two of those have come on their travels. Moreover, their away record is not great with just three victories from their previous 20 league visits. As such, Swansea should have a distinct advantage in this game and we are backing them for a second-straight league triumph. Our preview expects Swansea to pick up the three points.

Correct Score odds
Since 2005, Swansea and Forest have contested at the Liberty Stadium on seven occasions and just one of those games have resulted in a victory for the visitors. Based on this, Forest have not enjoyed their trips to South Wales and they are likely to face a difficult task once more, considering they have gone nine league games without an away win. Our correct score prediction anticipates a Swansea 2-1 win.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals odds
Judging by the history, Swansea have generally enjoyed playing against Forest and three of their previous four meetings have produced more than three goals. Much has changed since their previous encounter in 2011 but we are anticipating another free-flowing game with the hosts having players with added top-flight experience in their ranks. Our total goals prediction expects over 2.5 goals.

First Goalscorer odds
Oliver McBurnie has stood out in the Swansea attack this term and he has already four of the club’s seven goals in the Championship. Out of those, he has opened the scoring on one occasion and his shot accuracy has been impressive with 64% of his attempts on target. The Scotland international failed to score in his only previous outing against Forest. Our first goalscorer prediction is to go with McBurnie.
