St Johnstone remain hopeful about overturning their poor form when they host St Mirren at the McDiarmid Park in the midweek action. Tommy Wright has seen his team slip to ninth place in the table following the latest set of results, while St Mirren remain at the bottom with a one-point deficit to Dundee, who have played a game more. Follow all our predictions, free bets, football bets and betting tips below.
Betting Tips for the game
St Johnstone were defeated for a third consecutive league game after a 3-1 loss against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena. The last victory for St Johnstone was towards the end of January against Livingston.
Kilmarnock were able to undo a lot of hard work from St Mirren through a late goal from Kenny Miller. This happens to be the first loss for St Mirren since losing to Dundee United in the FA Cup at the start of February.
St Johnstone and St Mirren met each other back in December when the latter was able to claim a 1-0 success to add to the 2-0 victory that they achieved in the meeting at McDiarmid Park. Our betting tips and predictions expect a draw.

St Mirren have been playing some decent football in the last few weeks and they could have picked up a well-earned a point against Kilmarnock if not for the late defeat. St Johnstone, meanwhile, have been on a disastrous form over the last two months and confidence will be low among Tommy Wright’s men. The lack of goals from both teams is a serious problem and St Mirren have been able to get more than 1.5 goals only once in the 2019 league matches. Our preview would go with a stalemate since both teams could cancel out each other.

St Johnstone win odds: 1.75
St Mirren win odds: 4.50
Correct Score odds
St Mirren have been quite low on goals while St Johnstone have been guilty of conceding too many due to an obvious lack of confidence. After failing to score in three consecutive matches, St Johnstone will be slightly relieved to find the back of the net in the recent games against Hibernian and Livingston. However, Wright’s team have been quite poor on a number of fronts and our correct score prediction would opt for a 1-1 draw.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals odds
There have been less than 2.5 goals in four out of the recent five meetings between St Johnstone and St Mirren. There is a case for more of the same with both clubs struggling to find the net with ease. Our total goals prediction would go with under 2.5 goals.
[bet_tip_now stars_1_2_3=”3″ block_title=”Goals odds and prediction:”]Total goals under 2.5 at 1.61[/bet_tip_now]
First Goalscorer odds
Chris Kane scored his first goal of the campaign after 21 attempts in the recent home match against Hibernian. The 24-year-old was able to feature for the full 90 minutes against Livingston in the 3-1 defeat. Kane’s only goal against St Mirren in five attempts came in the Championship while playing for Queen of South in the 2017-18 campaign. Still, our first goalscorer prediction would back Kane.
