Queens Park Rangers could take a step closer to the playoff positions when they entertain bottom side Ipswich Town at Loftus Road on Boxing Day. The QPR recently claimed back-to-back wins for the first time since October. Ipswich have remained undefeated in the past two games but they are still rooted to the last position with a four-point gap to safety. Follow all our predictions, odds, football bets and betting tips below.
Betting Tips for the game
QPR come into the game on the back of successive league wins with their most recent game ending in a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on the road. Toni Leistner netted the sole goal right before the half time whistle.
Ipswich, meanwhile, went unbeaten for the second-straight game after picking up a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United. Ellis Harrison opened the scoring for Ipswich in the 38th minute but they were pegged back by a Billy Sharp strike shortly after the break.
QPR’s recent game against Ipswich was at Portman Road in October where the picked up a 2-0 win. The last meeting at Loftus Road witnessed a similar outcome after a 2-1 triumph. Our betting tips and predictions expect a QPR win.

Ipswich are priced at 5.00 to secure the three points but we are not anticipating this result based on their poor run of form through the campaign. The visitors have recently secured four points from the past two matches but both were those were in front of their supporters. Away from home, they have averaged less than one point in every other game. Our preview fancies a third successive win for QPR.

Correct Score odds
QPR have been impressive at Loftus Road of late and they have managed 12 points from the previous five matches while finding the scoresheet in each of those. Ipswich have barely impressed on their travels and they come into the clash with just one point from the past five outings while drawing blank on four occasions. With this in mind, our correct score prediction favours a 2-0 victory for the hosts.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals odds
QPR have recently witnessed three-straight home matches where they have produced three or more goals. However, we are anticipating a low-scoring affair this time around with Ipswich failing to score in seven of their 11 away trips this term. Our total goals prediction is to go with less than 2.5 goals.

First Goalscorer odds
Nahki Wells has been the go-to man for the QPR since the last international break and he has netted three goals in the previous five matches. The Bermuda international has also impressed against Ipswich in the past and has scored three times in eight league games. Our first goalscorer prediction fancies Wells to open the scoring.
