Norwich City are at Carrow Road for Saturday’s league encounter against Middlesbrough. Daniel Farke’s side have looked far from being a promotion contender in the early stages and they are in the bottom half with a point separating them from the drop zone. Middlesbrough, though, are in the top two spots after the first six games of the season and only goal difference separates them from toppers Leeds United. Follow all our predictions, free bets, football bets and betting tips below.
Betting Tips for the game
Norwich played out a 1-1 draw against cross-town rivals Ipswich Town before the international break. Moritz Leitner was the pick of the players for Norwich as he netted a 71st-minute equaliser.
Middlesbrough, meanwhile, played out a 0-0 draw against league leaders Leeds United. Tony Pulis’ side are just one of two teams to stay unbeaten in the Championship campaign to date.
The previous meeting between the sides was at Carrow Road in February where Norwich celebrated a 1-0 triumph. Tom Trybull netted the winner in a game where Middlesbrough played with 10 men for more than an hour. Our betting tips and predictions expect an away win for Middlesbrough.

Norwich are offered odds of 3.00 for a victory but we are not backing this outcome based on their recent league form. Norwich have picked up just one win this season and their home form has not been the best with two defeats already from three matches. As such, we are predicting an away win for Boro, who are currently on a splendid run of five games without conceding. Our preview expects a victory for the visiting team.

Norwich City vs Middlesbrough draw odds: 3.20
Correct Score odds
Norwich have leaked goals since the start of the season and they have already conceded two goals per game. In comparison, Middlesbrough have done the exact opposite and their run of five successive clean sheets sees them with the best defensive record in the division. Pulis’ teams often tend to make things difficult for the opponent with a solid backline and we are expecting a close win for the visitors. Our correct score prediction would back a Middlesbrough 1-0 win.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals odds
Since 2015, there have been four matches contested between the sides and each of those have witnessed two or fewer goals with clean sheets for one or the other. This trend may continue this weekend with Boro witnessing a maximum of two goals in their last four league matches. Our total goals prediction fancies less than 2.5 goals.

First Goalscorer odds
Martin Braithwaite has been Middlesbrough’s most successful striker this term with three goals from five league appearances. The Dane did not feature in the recent game against Leeds amid the doubts surrounding his future but he is expected to return to the mix for this weekend’s clash. Braithwaite has bagged the opening strike on two occasions this season. Our first goalscorer prediction would back Braithwaite.
