Millwall are scheduled to face Nottingham Forest at the Den during their final Championship game of the calendar year. The hosts recently ended a barren run by picking up a first victory since October and this has helped them jump one point ahead of the relegation places. Forest, meanwhile, are at the top end of the standings but a four-match winless run has dropped them three points adrift of the playoff positions. Betting Tips for the game
Millwall ended an eight-match winless streak on Boxing Day after they got the better of Reading by a 1-0 scoreline. Jed Wallace netted the sole goal in the eighth minute against the Royals, who ended the game with nine men.
Forest, however, have gone through a four-match run without a victory and their most recent league game ended in a 3-3 draw at Norwich City. Forest appeared destined for a 3-1 triumph before Onel Hernandez pegged them back in dramatic fashion with two stoppage time goals.
Millwall’s previous encounter versus Forest happened at the City Ground in October which finished in a 2-2 draw. The last meeting at the Den saw Millwall come up triumphs by a 2-0 score in March. Our betting tips and predictions anticipate a share of the spoils.

Forest are backed at 2.90 for the win while Millwall are priced at 2.60 for the same. Forest have made good progress under the guidance of Aitor Karanka this term but of late, they have struggled to overcome the opposition with four successive winless games. Millwall’s form is not better either with just one win from nine matches and a draw appears the likely outcome. Our preview is to go for a draw.

Millwall win odds: 2.60
Nottingham Forest win odds: 2.90
Correct Score odds
Millwall have recently found some scoring form and they have failed to score in just one of the previous five matches. Forest have drawn blank on three occasions during the same period but we are still anticipating them to find the scoresheet after converting three goals past an in-form Norwich side on Boxing Day. Still, that may not be sufficient for the win and our correct score prediction favours a 1-1 draw.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals odds
Millwall have not been at their best with the defensive side of the game this term but they have made a minor improvement on their home patch where they have produced more than two goals on just occasion since November. The same outcome can be fancied against Forest, given Millwall will be determined to avoid another defeat with a relegation battle on their hands. Our total goals prediction would back less than 2.5 goals.

First Goalscorer odds
Lewis Grabban had come into the month of December with five goals from the space of three matches but he has since struggled with four-straight games without finding the scoresheet. The Forest striker has plenty to prove this weekend and Grabban has an impressive record of two goals in five league matches against Millwall. Our first goalscorer prediction would go with Grabban.
