Ipswich Town’s struggles are set to continue when the team host Reading at the Portman Road this weekend. Ipswich remain at the bottom of the table with the club increasingly heading down into the League One. Reading are not much better compared to their opponents as merely goal difference separates them from the bottom three places. Follow all our predictions, free bets, football bets and betting tips below.
Betting Tips for the game
Ipswich Town came extremely close to stopping a seven-game unbeaten run, but they were ultimately denied a remarkable victory by Wigan in a 1-1 draw. Joe Garner scored in injury time to prevent a win for the visitors.
Reading were held to a 1-1 draw by Rotherham United at the Madejski Stadium. The inability to capitalise on home advantage was a major blow for the Royals.
The reverse fixture between the two clubs produced a 2-2 draw at the Madejski Stadium, while Reading had suffered a 2-0 loss when they previously visited the Portman Road. Our betting tips and predictions expect a draw.

Ipswich manager Paul Lambert has not been able to bring about any substantial improvement since taking over at the club in October. The former Stoke City boss has managed a dismal return of 0.6 points per match, but Ipswich have been able to avoid defeat in the last three matches. Reading are also in a relegation battle and the team would not be in a mood to lose against a direct rival. The Royals have picked up only one away victory this season, but they have displayed a tendency to pick up away points of late. Our preview would go with a draw since both teams are not great at this moment.

Reading win odds: 2.50
Correct Score odds
Reading were able to produce a remarkable draw against Ipswich in the reverse fixture and they may have to work hard against Lambert’s men this time around. After three consecutive draws, Ipswich will be aiming for a first win in eight matches but the team lacks offensive strength in order to do so. Even Reading have managed less than a goal per game in away games, and our correct score prediction would opt for a 1-1 draw.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals odds
It is quite incredible that just one of the last games between Ipswich and Reading has been a low scoring game. However, both teams have been quite poor going forward and the lack of clinical finishing from both teams could ensure a low scoring match with under 2.5 goals, as per our total goals prediction.

First Goalscorer odds
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has been unable to score since September, but he is one of the few players capable of helping Reading find the back of the net as he is still the club’s top scorer with seven league goals. Our first goalscorer prediction would back Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.
