Chelsea take on FA Cup finalist Watford at Stamford Bridge looking to remain in the fourth place or even go ahead and dislodge Spurs from the third position. The Blues were able to remain in the fourth position and still open up a two-point advantage over Arsenal after last weekend’s results. There are four teams competing for the third and fourth positions in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Watford may switch their focus to the FA Cup final with a seventh-place finish highly unlikely. Follow all our predictions, free bets, and betting tips below.

Betting Tips for the game

Chelsea were involved in a third consecutive draw across all competitions after a 1-1 draw at Frankfurt on Thursday night. This Europa League stalemate was preceded by a similar score against Manchester United last weekend.

Wolves were able to gain revenge for Watford’s victory in the semifinals of the FA Cup after a 2-1 victory at the Vicarage Road. This was only the second home defeat for Watford in 2019.

Chelsea are looking to complete the double over Watford following a 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road earlier in the campaign. Chelsea also picked up a 4-2 win over the Hornets in the last meeting between these two teams at Stamford Bridge. Our betting tips and predictions would opt for a Chelsea win.

Match odds

Chelsea will be able to secure a top four position irrespective of results elsewhere if they win the last two league matches. However, the club also have an upcoming second leg semi-final game against Frankfurt in a few days. The last two remaining games for Chelsea are against top 10 opposition. However, Watford will have a tendency to favour the FA Cup final – as is often the case when an unexpected team reaches Wembley. This can play into the hands of Chelsea, who are our pick to win the game.

Chelsea vs Watford draw odds: 5.25

Watford win odds: 8.00

Correct Score odds

Chelsea have been able to register a remarkable 15 goals in the last six matches and it is a sharp contrast to their away form. This is an impressive return considering that forwards like Gonzalo Higuain have not hit the ground running. Watford have been unable to score in just one away game since February. Our correct score prediction would pick a Chelsea 2-1 win.

Over/Under 2.5 Goals odds

Since Watford have troubled Chelsea in the past with seven goals in the last three visits to the Bridge, it would not be a surprise to see the Hornets create more trouble for Chelsea, who have not been defensively great. Troy Deeney also returns from suspension for the visitors. Our total goals prediction will go with over 2.5 goals.

First Goalscorer odds

Eden Hazard was rested for the game against Frankfurt and he will return to the starting line-up to face a Watford team, who have suffered at the hands of the Belgian in recent meetings. Hazard has three goals – including the opener in the reverse fixture – in his last two games against Watford. Our first goalscorer prediction would pick Eden Hazard.
