There was quite a weekend in the Premiership last week, when Tottenham beat Wigan 9-1 in the epic second half goal flurry. They travel to Aston Villa this weekend, who are likely to be a much tougher test. Villa are only 3 points behind Spurs and they are both competing for the 4th spot in the table that Liverpool seem to be “renting out” at the moment.
The big match of the weekend though will be Arsenal v Chelsea on Sunday. Arsenal who are 8 points behind Chelsea, but with a game in hand, need to keep the pressure on. If they can win this home game, they will prove that they have what it takes to compete for the Premiership title this year. If not, Chelsea would go 11 points ahead of them (with a win). Arsenal had a hard time in front of goal last weekend against Sunderland. After recent goals from all over the field, they found themselves stuck against 8th placed Sunderland. Chelsea look the favourites going into the match, with Drogba back from his injury.
If Didier Drogba scores the last goal Paddy Power will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles on this match.
The other big match of the weekend also takes place on Sunday. Everton v Liverpool. Both teams are having a torrid time at the moment. It’s hard to decide who are the worse off! Liverpool are currently sitting in 7th with only one win in their last 6 Premiership games. While Everton have only one win in their last 8 Premiership games, having recently lost to relegation hangers Hull. This big Merseyside Derby always has a lot of action, and it could still. Both defences are leaking goals. It just depends if there is anyone to put them in! Torres could be back this weekend for the Reds. Expect lots of bets on this match!
