Netherlands host Northern Ireland on Saturday in their final game before travelling to Poland and Ukraine to compete in Euro 2012.
Holland had a convincing 2-0 victory over Slovakia on Wednesday evening and they will be looking to this game to get another victory and take some form into the tournament.
Bert van Marwijk will want a good performance from his side this weekend, especially in front of their own fans.
They are being considered one of the favourites to go all the way and lift the trophy this summer which is no surprise given the amount of talent they have at their disposal.
Robin Van Persie is a striker that will no doubt be feared by whoever Holland come up against. The 28-year-old scored 30 goals in the Premier League for Arsenal last season and is in the form of his life going into the competition.
With an extremely tough group in Euro 2012 that sees van Markwijk’s men go head to head with Germany, Portugal and Denmark they will have to be at their very best right from the off if they are to progress into the knockout stages.
As for Northern Ireland, they will be looking at this encounter as a chance to prove themselves against one of the world’s best sides as they failed to qualify for European Championships.
Michael O’Neill’s team have been in a shocking run of late though, losing their previous five matches. They have also won just one game in 14 which was a 4-0 win over Faroe Islands.
It will be difficult for O’Neill to motivate a side that will be so low on confidence, however he must do so or they could be on the end of a thrashing here.
It is now all about qualifying for the 2014 World Cup for Northern Ireland and that qualifying campaign starts in September.
