Man City v Man Utd Betting Tips

Posted on 25 April 2012 by Joseph in Football, headline

One of the biggest games in Premier League history takes place on Monday night when Manchester City and Manchester United go head to head at the Ethiad Stadium in what could be a title deciding match.

City had looked all but out of the title race after their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal a few weeks ago. This result had seen Roberto Mancini’s side eight points adrift of first place United.

However a dip in form from the Red Devils and a great run of three wins on the bounce for Man City has seen them move to within just three points of the top spot.

Mancini’s men have scored twelve goals in their last three games, with nine of them goals coming from Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez. The two Argentina forwards have started to form a partnership that could prove to be devastating for defences.

A win would take Manchester City back into top spot on goal difference and would make them favourites to take their first ever Premier League title.

As for Manchester United, they have stumbled in recent weeks, winning just one of their previous three matches.

Last time out United drew 4-4 at Old Trafford with Everton, letting a two goal lead slip twice which really did hand their local rivals a massive incentive to go on and beat Wolves later that day.

Sir Alex Ferguson will be looking for this side to turn out a massive performance on Monday night as they look to move a step close to a 20th league title.

Wayne Rooney is in a hot goal-scoring streak at the moment, with 26 in the league this campaign and four in his previous two encounters.

This all makes for one of the most eagerly anticipated match’s in some years and one football fans all over the world are looking forward too.
