Huddersfield and Sheffield United go head to head this Saturday at Wembley stadium in the League One playoff final with a place in the Championship at stake.

Huddersfield were 3-2 winners over two legs against MK Dons in their semi-final.

A 2-0 victory at Stadium MK in the first leg all but secured their place in the final.

Jordan Rhodes was yet again the talisman for Simon Grayson’s side in the semi-final, scoring a goal in each leg. This now takes Rhodes’ tally to 37 goals in the league this campaign so he will certainly be relishing this encounter.

The Terriers have been impressive at the back over recent weeks, conceding just three goals in their last five games. They have also lost only one of their previous five matches.

Huddersfield have lost just seven games all season which is second best in League One, behind Champions Charlton.

As for Sheffield United, it took 175 minutes in their semi-final for them to find the net, they ended up taking the tie 1-0.

United have now lost just one match in their last 14 so certainly go into Saturday full of confidence.

Chris Porter was the man who broke the deadlock, the striker scored his first goal since January so could be finding his scoring form at the perfect time.

Danny Wilson’s men will be looking to join their local rivals Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship next season. Wednesday finished in second place in the league, just three points ahead of United.

After relegation last year, the Bramall Lane side will be desperate to make a return to the second tier of English football at the first time of asking, with many fans thinking they belong in the Premier League.

With this game having the added spice of being a Yorkshire derby, it could be a classic.
