Bolton v Tottenham Betting Tips

Posted on 30 April 2012 by Joseph in Football, headline

Tottenham travel to The Reebok Stadium on Wednesday night to take on Bolton in a game where both sides need the points for different reasons.

Bolton are fighting against relegation and currently sit 18th in the table, however a result on Wednesday will see them move out of the bottom three.

Owen Coyle’s side are now unbeaten in three games, picking up four points away from home in the last two matches.

Coyle’s men have lost just two of their previous eight encounters on home soil so will be confident of a result this week.

With games against West Brom and Stoke to come after this, The Trotters look to have one of the easiest run ins on paper compared to the sides around them, though they will know that at this stage of the season there is no such thing as an easy game.

Kevin Davies scored twice against Sunderland last time out, the veteran striker could hold the key to another season in the top flight for Bolton.

As for Tottenham, they returned to form on Sunday with a comfortable 2-0 win over Blackburn at White Hart Lane, a result that saw them move to back within a point top four.

Spurs went into the game against Rovers on the back of three defeats in a row across all competitions, with talks of their season falling to pieces.

With Arsenal and Newcastle both dropping points at the weekend, this game in hand for Harry Redknapp’s side could prove to be massive as they will move to within a point of their North London rivals with victory.

Redknapp’s men have failed to win on the road in their last eight matches, their last victory away from home came at Norwich in December, a stat that will have to chance if they are to qualify for the Champions League.

Match Odds

Despite their poor run away from home, Tottenham go into this one as favourites. You can back them at  2.00 (evens) with BetFred.

Bolton will have to upset the odds if they are to take all three points, they are being offered at 3.90 (29/10) with VC Bet. A draw is available at 3.5 (5/2) with Bet365.

First Goal-Scorer

Emmanuel Adebayor is Spurs’ leading scorer in the Premier League and he is the favourite to break the deadlock at The Reebok Stadium with odds of 6.00 (5/1) with Ladbrokes.

After his brace at the weekend, Kevin Davies will be one of Bolton’s best chances of getting the scoring underway. You can back Davies at 10.00 (9/1) with Bet365.

Recommended Bet

Tottenham ran out 3-0 winners in this fixture earlier in the season, a repeat result is being offered at 21.00 (20/1) with StanJames.
