Premiership week 27 update

The new year is ticking along nicely in the Premiership. Manchester United have closed the gap between them and Chelsea to just one point. As usual Utd’s new year form is strong and they now have the best goal difference in the Premiership. Also as usual Arsenal showed a lot of potential in the first half of the season, but injuries and lack of squad depth have faltered their chances. Liverpool are now back in the top 4, but 5th place Man City have 2 games in hand over them – one to be played today. The follow match that City play will be against Liverpool, so that could shake up the order again.

Tottenham and Aston Villa have pushed a lot this year. Both just a few points away from a top 4 position. Aston Villa also have a game in hand. The depth of their squads is much better than last year and it will help with the final push of the season when they can be a lot of fatigue and injuries.

Birmingham have been the surprise team this year. Their excellent defense with future England star Joe Hart in goal has helped them contend with the big teams in the top half of the table.

There are about 7 teams that are at risk of being relegated at the moment. Position 14 down, there is only one point between them and the bottom 3. Portsmouth’s dreadful season has seen them stuck to the bottom of the table for some time. They are 9 points away from getting out of the relegation zone and it looks like it will be a very difficult task for them.

The biggest games this week seem to be Man Utd vs Everton on Saturday and Man City vs Liverpool on Sunday. We off the best free bet offers on the games. If you would like to bet, make sure you take advantage of the offers available.
