Premiership betting (wk33) Liverpool vs Arsenal

Posted on 17 April 2009 by admin in Football

This week, as ever looks like it will host an exciting set of Premier League fixtures. Over the weekend Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester Utd all play FA cup semi-final games, so will play their league fixtures in mid-week. This week the biggest game looks to be Liverpool vs Arsenal. Both teams are in form at the moment. Liverpool are fresh from an exhilarating performance in the Champions League, although not enough to keep them in it. While Arsenal won their fixture in style and are also still in the FA cup.
This could mean good and bad things. Liverpool now only have the league to concentrate on, so can look to push Utd for the top spot, while Arsenal still have 3 competitions to compete in, so could suffer from the extra fixtures. Arsenal have to play Chelsea in the FA Cup and then travel to Liverpool for a difficult fixture there.

Meanwhile some very important matches are scheduled in the relegation zone. As the end of the season nears Newcastle and Middlesbrough are looking to jump out of the bottom 3 and avoid relegation.
