The Premiership season is drawing to a close with only 7 games left. For some teams at the top and bottom of the table all these are must-win games. Aston Villa have almost certainly lost their Champions League spot after the loss to Liverpool last week. Arsenal are now 6 points ahead. Villa’s task this week is to remain in 5 place after the clash with 6th place Everton on Sunday. Everton are only one point behind Villa now and would love to use this fixture to overtake them in the league.
The saga at the bottom on the table continues, with any number of teams under threat of relegation. Newcastle have a change to jump out of the relegation places this week if they beat Stoke away and Sunderland (3 points above them) lose to Manchester United.
