Two podium finishes in two races is sure to make Lewis Hamilton a more happy man, albeit they would have been two wins if it had not been for the pit team’s mistakes in Valencia.

This weekend sees the 2nd Grand Prix race in as many weeks and is the penultimate European race before the teams have to start the long haul flights again.
The Belgian Grand Prix is widely considered the best circuit on the F1 calendar, and with its fearsome corner “Eau Rouge” this could be one exciting race.

Last week in Valencia Jenson Button looked to struggle and was lucky that the Red Bull drivers Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel both finished outside the points. Button’s teammate Rubens Barrichello won the race, which was his first in 5 years. It keeps Brawn-Mercedes well ahead in the constructors’ world championship.
Things still look good for them in the Driver’s Championship. With Button having a 25 point lead and the cooler more suited track at the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps track, this could be their weekend again.

Lewis Hamilton and teammate Heikki Kovalainen both have the option of the upgraded car this weekend after it worked so well for Lewis last weekend.

This article is written before qualifying so we do not have the qualifying results in yet, but Lewis Hamilton topped Friday’s second practise.
