The first quarter final kicks off tonight with Portugal facing Germany.

Germany, the strongly tipped winners at the beginning of the competiton, scraped through the group stages and now face a strong Portugal side who had the luxury of resting players in their last game against Switzerland.

In the last 15 meetings between the teams, Germany have only lost 3. However the strength and creativity of the Portugal side at the moment suggests they are favourites to win.
