The champions League is back again with fixture 5 on the calendar. Arsenal, and new captain Cesc Fabregas would secure qualification in group G if they win against Dynamo Kiev with game to spare.
The same goes for Liverpool who play Marseille in group D. While Man Utd only need a point against Villarreal in group E, and group A with Chelsea is still open. They need to win against Bordeaux to ensure qualification is still in their hands going into the final game in a few weeks.
All the home teams had a disappointing weekend of premiership football, with Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool drawing and Arsenal losing. Not one of them scored a goal.
