Lewis Hamilton captured pole position this afternoon for Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix. It was closely fought out with Felipe Massa, who took provisional pole, before Hamilton beat his time.
Lewis Hamilton’s team mate Heikki Kovalainen took 3rd spot. Kimi Raikkonen in the 2nd Ferrari took 4th.
Massa described his own lap time as near perfect and was shocked at the pace of Hamilton’s McLaren car. This looks good for Lewis Hamilton as he looks to extend his lead at the top of the standings if he has a good race with no mistakes.
