The £20 free bet you receive is the only one in the industry where you are given more than your initial bet (bet £10, get £20 ).
PaddyPower have a great site. Its nicely designed and very easy to find your way around. There is a host of information on the homepage including short paragraphs with some news on different events.
These often contain Paddy Power's forward humor with lines like "Yossi Benayoun's warning that he could leave Liverpool is roughly the footballing equivalent of Michael Douglas threatening to leave Catherine Zeta Jones."
Paddy Power often have the best odds in the industry. In addition to this they almost certinaly have the most extensive markets with some approaching 100 on certain events.
They are also famous for their weekly "Money-Back Specials", where they will give your money back on a match/race if your bet loses and a certain event takes place. e.g. in football if the last goal is scored by a certain player. These specials are displayed on the homepage and included in their newsletter. One of their biggest payouts was in the Champions League Final of May 2008. Paddy Power said that if Ronaldo scored, then they would refund all 1st/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single bets on the match. Of course he scored and they ended up paying £1.2 million back to customers.
Novelty betting is also included in Paddy Power's service. They take bets on the existence of God and also extend normal markets to slightly comedic levels. e.g. "Which match will Ronaldo first cry in during Euro 2008".
