England take on Germany today in the mid-week International friendlies at the Olympic Stadium, Berlin.
The England side is going to look a little different to the last International games as a host of key players are injured. These include Rooney, Heskey, Lampard, Gerrard, Joe Cole, Walcott, Ferdinand, Ashley Cole and Wes Brown. John Terry and David James are the only first choice starting 11 that are fit to play.

Fabio Capello wil give a number of youngsters a chance to play. It will be a big match for them against the strength of the German national side. 20 year old Michael Mancienne on loan at Wolves from Chelsea is the shock call-up. He could partner Terry at centre back or even play at right back. There is likely to be an Aston Villa spine to the team with Gabriel Agbonlalor, Ashley Young, Gareth Barry and Curtis Davies all included in the squad.

Premiership betting (wk13) - Arsenal vs Villa

Week 13 is here (unlucky?) and this week 3 of the “top 4 sides” play teams that could fight a relegation battle this year. Chelsea take on West Brom, Man Utd take on Stoke and Liverpool play Bolton. Its a little harder for Arsenal as they play Aston Villa, a side hoping to break into the top 4.

Last week we saw Arsenal’s team go back to basics and beat Machester Utd without regular strikers Adebayor and van Persie. It was a needed win for Wenger and keeps them in contention for the title race.

Now without a win in 3 games, Hull host Man City who have not won for an equal amount of games in the Premiership. This could be an interesting game as both teams fight to keep a high position in the table.

Tottenham play away at Fulham and an in-form Darren Bent who has scored 5 goals with an assist in his last 5 Prem games will be looking to get on the scoresheet again. Add in the UEFA cup and Bent in actually on a run of 8 goals in 6 games. He has cetainly helped Spurs get back on track.

The premiership has been exciting so far this season. The teams are stronger and more goals are flying in. After 12 games there are only 4 points separating 7th and 19th place.

We have a big match this weekend with Man Utd Travelling to Arsenal. It will be a match that Arsenal will have to focus on. They have not won for 3 games. They also have a lot of inury worries. Adebayor, Sagna and Eboue are all out with injury. While Gallas and Walcott are both doubts. van Persie is also suspended after last weeks red card.

Man Utd on the other hand have Ronaldo back in form with 6 goals and 2 assists in his 6 games since return from injury. 4 of the goals are from the last 2 games. Berbatov has also found form. While not scoring goals (only one so far), he has provided 6 assists in the 8 games he has played for Utd. If Utd have their heads in the right place, they could win this one quite comfortably. They are currently above Arsenal in the table with a game in hand.

At the top of the table Chelsea and Liverpool have easier games playing Blackburn and West Brom respectively.

Grand Prix - Brazil, Interlagos - final race

The final race of the Grand Prix season takes place on Sunday. Lewis Hamilton is 7 points ahead of Felipe Massa in the Driver’s Championship. Hamilton is looking for his first title and Massa is the only driver that can take that from him.

In practise the 2 drivers were very close. Both were top of the time sheet with Massa having just an edge on his home circuit.

Lewis Hamilton will win the title under the following conditions:

If Massa wins in Brazil, Hamilton must finish at least fifth.
If Massa is second, Hamilton must finish at least seventh
If Massa is third or lower, Hamilton is champion regardless of his result in Brazil.

The 3rd Champions league league group games start on Tuesday. Arsenal will be looking to contiue their great Europe form coming from te 4-0 romp of Porto. Manchester Utd are also on great form and play this fixure at home to Scottish champions Celtic.

Atletico Madrid are so pleased that Torres is out with injury against them, that they have offered him a VIP seat to watch the match.
